Vintergatan LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, is the provider of Parentr — a mobile app designed to help parents organize and manage all aspects of their children’s activities, including school events, family schedules, sports practices, group chats, and more.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.
You can access this Privacy Policy any time under Account → Privacy Policy in the Parentr app.

We are the data controller for all user data processed through the Parentr app.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Data from App Store Downloads
When downloading Parentr from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, data such as yourusername, email, payment method, and device ID may be processed by the respective app store. This is outside our control.
2.2 Data You Enter in the App
When you use Parentr, we collect and process data necessary to operate the app, including:
• Account information: name, email, profile picture, and phone number
• Child’s first name (optional)
• Event data: titles, descriptions, reminders, RSVP responses, sign-ups
• Uploaded images for event covers
• Reminders and tasks you create
• Group or module membership (e.g., class, family, sports)
• Subscription status and trial data (via RevenueCat)

2.3 Image Uploads & Event Scanning
Users may upload images when:
• Setting a cover image for events
• Uploading images in chats
• Using the event scanner (e.g., to scan screenshots or school PDFs)
All images are stored securely and only shown within their intended context. Images uploaded forscanning are processed to extract event information but not used for any other purpose.

2.4 Chat Messages
Parentr includes in-app chat for communicating within modules or about specific events. Messages and image attachments are stored securely and accessible only to relevant group members. We do not monitor private chats unless required to respond to abuse reports.

2.5 Calendar Sync
Parentr can sync events with your Apple or Google Calendar. When enabled, Parentr may:
• Create and edit calendar events
• Access your calendar to sync updates
• Store necessary identifiers for syncing
We never access calendar guests or contacts, and no calendar data is shared or stored beyond what is needed for sync functionality. You can revoke access anytime in your device or Google Account settings.

2.6 Location Data
If you choose to add a location to an event, we use Google Places API to search and save:
• Location name
• Coordinates
• Optional place ID
We do not track live user location.

2.7 Device & Usage Data
To improve security and functionality, we collect:
• Device model, OS, and device ID
• App logs and crash reports
• Notification preferences and settings

2.8 Push Notifications
You may receive push notifications related to:
• Events, reminders, tasks, and sign-ups
• Chats and mentions
Notification settings are stored securely. Premium users can customize these in the app. All users are prompted to allow or deny notifications on first launch.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited data with trusted third-party providers to deliver core functionality:
• Firebase (Google) – Database, authentication, analytics
• StreamChat – Messaging infrastructure
• Mailchimp – Email delivery
• AppsFlyer – Mobile attribution & marketing
• Codemagic – CI/CD and deployment automation
• Google Places API – Location-based event features
• RevenueCat – Subscription & trial tracking
These providers are bound by strict data protection obligations and may onlyprocess data to support Parentr’s services.
4. Data Retention
• User accounts: retained until deleted by user
• Events & reminders: stored for 24 months or until manually deleted
• Chat messages: retained for up to 12 months
• Uploaded images: stored until deleted by the user or tied event/module is deleted
5. Your Rights
If you're located in a jurisdiction with privacy protections (e.g., GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccuracies
• Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to data processing
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Export your data (data portability)
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

6. Data Security
We apply industry-standard security practices, including:
• TLS encryption for data in transit
• Secure authentication (via Firebase)
• Regular audits and code reviews
• Role-based access controls
We do not sell your data and only store what’s necessary to operate the app.
7. Permissions Requested by the App
Parentr may request the following permissions:
• Calendar access (to sync events)
• Location access (to add event locations)
• Camera and photo library access (for profile or event images)
• Notifications (for event reminders, chats, and more)
All permissions are optional and can be changed in your device settings.
8. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time via Account Settings → Delete Account within the app. This will remove your personal data from our systems, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Parentr evolves or laws change. When we do, we’llnotify you by email or in-app alert. The effective date will always be listed at the top.
