Terms of Service for Parentr

1. Introduction
Welcome to Parentr! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Parentr mobile application, developed and operated by Vintergatan LLC, located in Fort Worth, Texas, USA (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Parentr, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.
Parentr is designed to help parents organize and manage all aspects of their children’s activities — including school, family, sports, and extracurricular events — through tools like event planning, sign-ups, group messaging, and calendar integration.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Parentr. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.
3. Account Registration & Security
To access certain features of Parentr, you may need to create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or pose a security risk to the platform or other users.
4. Acceptable Use
When using Parentr, you agree to:
• Use the app only for lawful and intended purposes
• Refrain from uploading or sharing inappropriate, offensive, or abusive content
• Not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app or its services
• Respect the privacy and data of other users
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination without notice.
5. Features & Services
5.1 Event Planning & Sign-Ups
Users can create and manage events, sign-ups, reminders, and task listsacross various group types (e.g., classes, families, sports teams).
5.2 Chat & Messaging
Parentr includes chat features tied to modules and events.
• Messages are not monitored but may be removed if reported and found to violate our policies.
• Use caution when sharing personal information in chats.
5.3 Calendar Sync
Users can sync Parentr events with their Apple or Google Calendar.
• Parentr may create and edit events in your calendar.
• You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device or account settings.
6. Privacy & Data Protection
Your use of Parentr is subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
We comply with applicable data protection laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and, where relevant, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
7. Subscription & Payments
7.1 Free & Premium Plans
• Parentr offers both free and premium features.
• Premium subscriptions unlock additional functionality as described at the time of purchase.
• Free trials may be available. Trial duration will be shown during sign-up.
• Subscriptions automatically begin after the trial ends unless canceled before expiration.
• Parentr subscriptions are billed either monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected at the time of purchase.
7.2 Payment Processing & Auto-Renewal
• Payments are securely processed via the Apple App Store or Google PlayStore.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
• You must manage or cancel your subscription in your respective app store settings.
• Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• All billing, payment processing, and subscription management are handleddirectly through your Apple or Google account. Parentr does not store orprocess your payment information directly.

7.3 Refunds
• Refunds are handled through the platform you subscribed with (Apple or Google).
• We do not process refunds directly.
• Apple refunds are discretionary. Google refunds may be available within 48 hours of purchase.
7.4 Pricing Changes
We may update pricing or subscription offerings. You will be notified in advance, and any changes will apply in the next billing cycle.
8. Termination & Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
• You violate these Terms.
• Your activities create legal risk for us or other users.
• You engage in fraud or misuse of the platform
In cases of serious violations, we may terminate your access without prior notice.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
9.1 No Guarantees
Parentr is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, nor that the app will always be error-free or secure.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Unauthorized access to your account or data
• Issues arising from third-party services (e.g., Firebase)
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vintergatan LLC from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the app.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. All legal proceedings related to these Terms must be brought in the courts of Texas unless otherwise required by applicable law.
